Welcome to Murphy's Munchies, a trading name of Think Pets. These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through our website. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Murphy's Munchies is the trading name of Think Pets, a partnership operating as a small independent retailer supplying natural dog treats and related products. Throughout these Terms & Conditions, the terms "Murphy's Munchies", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Think Pets, trading as Murphy's Munchies.

Age Restriction

By placing an order with Murphy's Munchies, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into a binding contract.

Our products are intended for the feeding and care of pets and are not intended for purchase by children. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use this website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.

After you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received it. This does not mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract between you and Murphy's Munchies is formed only when we accept your order and dispatch or deliver your goods.

If we are unable to fulfil your order for any reason, we will contact you and provide a full refund if payment has already been received.

Prices and Payment

All prices shown on our website are in Pounds Sterling (£).

We currently accept payment by:

• Stripe
• PayPal
• Bank Transfer

Payment must be made in full before your order is processed.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and, where necessary, cancel an order before dispatch, providing a full refund if payment has already been made.

Delivery

Murphy's Munchies offers local delivery within the Darlington area and UK-wide delivery using Royal Mail.

Darlington Local Delivery

There is no minimum order value for local delivery within the Darlington area.

Our local delivery charges are:

• Orders of £15 or more: Free delivery
• Orders under £15: £2.50 delivery charge

All local Darlington deliveries are completed directly by Murphy's Munchies.

We aim to deliver local orders within 1–3 working days after your order has been accepted.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary during busy periods.

Local deliveries are made between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

UK Delivery

We also offer delivery across the UK using Royal Mail.

There is no minimum order value for UK delivery.

The applicable Royal Mail delivery charge will be displayed during checkout before you complete your order.

UK delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on the Royal Mail service used, weekends, bank holidays, busy periods and circumstances outside our control.

Once your order has been dispatched, it will be handed to Royal Mail for delivery.

Where a Royal Mail service includes tracking, tracking information will be provided where available.

Please ensure that the delivery address and contact details you provide are accurate. Murphy's Munchies cannot accept responsibility for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Safe Place — Local Deliveries

If no one is available to receive your local Darlington delivery, we may leave your order in a safe place where you have given us permission to do so.

As we are a small local business and do not normally make multiple delivery attempts, you may be asked to provide a nominated safe place or authorised delivery instruction at checkout.

This may include a porch, shed, or another secure and suitable location where your order can safely be left.

By completing your order, you confirm that you are happy for Murphy's Munchies to deliver your order to your chosen safe place if you are not available to receive it in person.

This safe-place arrangement applies to local Darlington deliveries only. Royal Mail deliveries are subject to Royal Mail's own delivery procedures.

Responsibility for the goods passes to you once they have been delivered to you or, for local Darlington deliveries, to a safe place authorised by you.

For UK deliveries, goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to another person identified by you to receive them, where required by applicable consumer law.

Bank Holidays and Seasonal Closures

We do not offer local deliveries on UK bank holidays.

Royal Mail services may also be affected by UK bank holidays and other service disruptions.

We may also close for approximately 10–14 days over the Christmas and New Year period. During this time, local deliveries and Royal Mail dispatches may be paused.

Any temporary closures will be communicated on our website or social media where possible.

Product Information

We take great care to ensure that product descriptions, prices and images are accurate.

As many of our products are natural dog treats, they may vary in size, shape, colour and texture. These natural variations are normal and do not affect the quality or suitability of the product.

Product images are for illustration purposes and the actual product may vary slightly in appearance.

Quality and Faulty Goods

Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery.

If you believe your order is incorrect, damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible and, where possible, within 48 hours of delivery, quoting your order number and providing photographs where appropriate.

The 48-hour period is requested to help us investigate delivery or product issues promptly and does not affect your statutory rights.

For orders delivered by Royal Mail, please retain the packaging where possible if an item arrives damaged, as photographs of the packaging and product may help us investigate the issue.

We may ask you to return the product before assessing your claim.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If a product is found to be faulty, not as described or unfit for purpose, we will provide an appropriate remedy as required by law.

Returns and Cancellations

If you wish to cancel or return an order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Your rights to cancel or return goods depend on the type of product purchased and your rights under UK consumer law.

For certain online purchases, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods.

However, certain goods may be excluded from cancellation rights where a legal exception applies. This may include certain perishable goods or goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once opened.

For hygiene and food safety reasons, we may not be able to accept returns of opened or used dog treats unless they are faulty, damaged or not as described.

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been prepared or dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to stop the order.

If an order has already been dispatched by Royal Mail, please contact us before returning anything so that we can provide the appropriate return instructions.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us promptly so that we can resolve the issue.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or removes any statutory cancellation, return or refund rights you may have under UK consumer law.

Feeding Advice and Safe Use

Our natural treats are intended as complementary pet food and should be fed as part of a balanced diet.

Customers should always:

• Supervise their dog while feeding treats or chews.
• Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times.
• Choose treats that are appropriate for their dog's size, age and chewing strength.
• Follow any feeding guidelines or manufacturer's instructions supplied with the product.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their dog's individual dietary requirements or allergies.

If your dog has a medical condition or special dietary needs, we recommend seeking advice from your veterinary surgeon before introducing new treats.

Our treats are intended for dogs only and are not suitable for human consumption.

Murphy's Munchies cannot accept responsibility for injury, illness or damage resulting from misuse of products, failure to supervise pets, or failure to follow the recommended feeding guidance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Murphy's Munchies shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or website.

Our total liability in relation to any order shall not exceed the amount paid for the products concerned, except where the law provides otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, photographs, logos, graphics and branding, is the property of Think Pets, trading as Murphy's Munchies, unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use any content from this website without our prior written permission.

Privacy

Your personal information is collected, stored and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business, legal obligations or the services we provide.

The latest version will always be available on our website.

Any changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted unless required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
